Cantabrians eager to get their hands on Waratah fencing products!

The WARATAH® fencing team successfully kicked off the second phase of their launch in the South island of New Zealand at the 2013 Canterbury show, which was packed with bustling show go-ers and coincided with the regional anniversary day and Cup Week!

Many people already knew of the Australian made Waratah steel fence posts. But just when they thought the Waratah post couldn’t get any better…they discovered that the traditional Waratah post had been redesigned into a Waratah Jio® post that incorporated more holes, added strength and increased flexibility!

Many were eager to find out how they could get hold of the new product as they had been let down too many times before with the imported black posts from China.

The overwhelmingly positive response was consistent across thousands of show go-ers who filtered through the Canterbury show site over the 3 day period – many keen to see what all the hype was about, and some just looking to have a go themselves!

Many took advantage of the offer to help build parts of the demonstration fence with Waratahs fencing experts – learning a few tips and tricks along the way.

Others were surprised and intrigued when they saw Waratah’s ‘all-steel’ fence line. Contractors and farmers marvelled at the speed and ease of putting up a fence using Jio steel posts and steel end assemblies, as well as the quality of fencing accessories that could be used to perfect the end result!

Lifestyle farmers particularly saw the benefits of using Waratah steel posts in areas where they would rotate livestock or use temporary fences. They also commented on how “professional” the fence looked when erected, and how easy it would be to install around their properties.

Waratah’s Product Manager, David Byrnes, believes the Waratah fencing product range will inspire fencers in New Zealand to rethink traditional fencing methods and consider different product options.

“Fencing contractors and farmers were particularly fond of Waratah’s Ezyslot strainer post and Adjusta-stay system as it’s easy to install and only takes 1 person to install in under 10 minutes! It’s a big labour saver!”
Waratah’s next launch event will be held in the South Island at the Southern Field Days in Waimumu on the 12-14th February 2014.
